Product Description
The TK 2.4 rocks bike parks around the world thanks to APEX and specially turned Black Chilli Compound. The reinforced APEX sidewall reduces tire roll under hard cornering, while keeping things together on hard landings. Tires with Black Chilli Compound deliver a performance that had not yet been reached. Compared to silicia tires, tires using black chilli provide 26% lower rolling resistance, 30% higher grip, and 5% longer miliage. Pro Tection tubeless-ready performace previously stood primarily for sidewall protection, but our latest generation combines a unique casing ply with a UST-style bead for Conti's Revolution Tubeless Ready design. An additional layer of rubber coated, high strength nylon the spans the complete width of the tire, not only additional durabilty, but also serves to maintain air tightness in a tubeless-ready configuration.

Big and grippy
By Rob
These are big tires. Took them to Tahoe for some technical rides with a combination of hard rocks and loose dirt. The tires were outstanding. They really hooked up well on the loose dirt and held up great with a major beating on the rocks. I did have one pinch flat when running about 30 psi and dropping a couple of feet onto a sharp edge of granite at about 15 mph. No damage to the tire, just the hassle of replacing the tube while riders I've been passing catch up.

Incredible. Very happy. Increase stopping power and overall control.

Two areas people skimp? Brakes and tires. Think about it people.
You expect to receive tires. These seem more than tires when you get them. I cant explain it, but it was like unboxing my bikes newest safety features. They look glorious. Very good looking tires.
Your tires are the only thing connecting you to the ground. Go ahead and upgrade your suspension all you want, if your tires are weak, you are exposing yourself to risk.
Overall, I believe these tires are a fabulous all mountain tire with competency in just about every area. Excellent climbers. I am running 2.4's front and rear on a custom hard tail that I rally up and down.
I am mostly so Utah but just finished northern Utah trails (rock on fine dust, lots of roots) 5 stars.
Excellent downhill competency for its weight and other strengths.
Had no problems putting them on my Shimano MT15 wheels using my skewer flap on the trail after snapping a presta valve mid ride. Good fit and finish.
Roll smoothly on asphalt and really were incredible on the trail. Most shocking was increase in braking stability and overall confidence. I prefer tubes and REALLY enjoy the continental uni-tube's. Recommend them as well.
Highly recommend. I will update this post.

Big and supple, but lacks traction in hardpack dirt.
By az3075
I picked up several of these tires based on reviews I've read on other sites. When I first put them on I was pleased as the width makes them look ready for anything. I then proceeded to take them out for a test ride and was sorely disappointed. On steep climbs, I found my wheels would often spin under torque for a brief time before catching traction again... I believe this is because the biggest middle knobs are somewhat too far from each other. This rarely happened to me with tires that have closely spaced knobs such as Maxxis Larsen TT or Kenda Telonix. Having said that, keep in mind I ride in hard packed dirt (with rocks sticking out)... the kind you find in Phoenix area. These tires would probably be more fit for forest trails. Looks like they would shed mud well, but haven't tried them in these conditions.
