5Conti's Attack and Force
By Ernie Wireman
Continental GP Attack and Force Tire
I am not into racing anymore but the features of this tire is as important as if I were. Rolling resistance, I'm very sensitive to it. When cold weather comes along a lot of tires harden up and this old fellow can tell it right off. Yes these tires are more expensive and I can tell you right now you won't be sorry you spent the money. These roll as easy as some very thin skins I run in summer when trail is blown clean once a week. This Black Chile compound they use is fantastic. To you fellows that are into racing I would have a set of these Conti attack/force for training and on race day put on a pair of Cont's GP Supersonic Black Chile's. The Supersonecs are only good for mybe a little over 400 miles, depends on how hard you pull them. It's your power that grinds off the rubber, they're just for race day and you must win! Conti's don't harden up when it gets cold, win on cold or hot days with Conti's The old riding on Journeyman lineman, Ernie Wireman

5Worth the Money!
By swren1967
Tires matter. I have learned this the hard way. Cycling is just a lot more fun if you have good tires.

After 20+ years of being cheap and buying whatever road-tire was on sale, I accidentally tried a pair of Continentals. Yes, they were on sale -- otherwise I never would have tried them. Like I said, I'm cheap. That first pair of Continentals were amazing, and I've never bought another brand of tire since. Tires are now about the only thing on my bike that I pay full price for -- they're worth the money.

For 10 years, I have used Gatorskins on my commuter bike and my tandem, and I've never had a flat from any ordinary puncture. I ran over a NAIL once (yes -- a 3 inch long nail), and of course I got a flat, but other than that, no glass, no thorns, nothing has penetrated the Gatorskins.

And of course there are the Grand Prix Attack and Force tires I use religiously on my road bike. I have been married to these tires for 10 years, and I'm still VERY happy. The GP Attack and Force last about 7,000 miles (for me, that's about 2 years), I NEVER get flats, and the feeling I get rolling through the corners is sublime. Low rolling resistance -- good grip and little flex or chatter in the corners (flex is important to me because I weigh a good bit over 200 pounds, and a lot of road tires wallow in the corners -- I keep these around 110 psi, and they feel marvelous.)

Continental manages to beat the competition every time, and when it comes to road tires, I'll never ride anything but the Attack and Force set.

5I put these tires through Hell and back then to hell again!
By rainbowdasher
I'm currently living in central Australia (the outback) where the roads are terrible!!! Most of my riding is in the 90-95F and the rare ride at over 110F with road temps hotter than that. Thorns here cause a lot more flats that anywhere else in the world i have ever ridden. After over 2000 miles of this, these are my findings.

Front tire (attack) still has the molding line going down the middle. Other than the rubber getting a rough pattern on it, the tires still look new. After 2K miles, I haven't got a flat yet.

Rear Tire (Force) They still have a lot of life according to the wear markers but I'm now at over 2K miles starting get get some peeling from all the glass I've hit over time.

I'm using Michelin Ultra Light Road tubes on these and they seem to be a great match. I'm still amazed at how well these have held up in the heat and bad roads.
