1I wouldn't buy again
By G. Fisher
Easy to install only plus. UP DATE - I wouldn't buy these again - 2 flats in 1 week ( about 300 miles) ............. poor quality - weak sidewall - not as promised - even the valve has issues.

5Gatorskin Tires
By Christopher T. Miller
I purchased these as replacements for the stock tires on my new Scattante road bike. The original rear tire suffered a terrible cut and resulted in a blowout after just 12 miles over smooth asphalt. A patch enabled me to limp home while burning through a 2nd tube blowout just before finishing a bad first ride. I know how to change tires and tube quickly, just despise having to do so and especially after such a short trip.

After asking around on Reddit's /r/bicycling for advice and talking with my local bike shop, everyone suggested either Continental's Gatorskin or Specialized's Armadillo. My local bike club also uses Gatorskins on 50% of their own bikes, so I ordered a pair.

Wow! is all I can say. They were a bit tight to install, but the ride is smooth, quiet, responsive and absolutely problem free. I've put on 200+ miles in a month w/o so much as a hiccup. The tires absorb quite a bit of bump to soften the ride, even at full pressure. While the rolling resistance is practically nil, making my ride another 1mph faster just by switching tires. These are great and well worth the money. Heck, they pay for themselves after 4-5 tube replacements.

5Great tire
By R. Barnoya
I use a 700x23 of this tire and after 2000 miles the only one showing any signs of needing replacement is my rear tire. Reason being is that I use my bike both on training rides outdoors and indoors on the fluid trainer. I will eventually start racing, however, I doubt I'll change them out regardless of the weight that everyone seems to talk about. I know I'm probably silly but it's the stubborn part of me that wants to show everyone that it's the rider not the bike that can do anything. Back to the tire. It has taken cracks in the road, bumps, punctures (only once) and I've only really had 2 flats because this tire wasn't able to handle sharp nails. A few other flats were rim side flats. Great tire if you're trying to avoid buying a tube every week.
