Product Description
Continental 0115870 Double Fighter II-26 x 1.9 Urban Tire is modeled on the successful concept of its predecessor. The center, with its light tread, rolls smoothly and quietly on tarmac. Off-road, the shoulder‘s heavy tread provides the necessary grip. The Double Fighter II playfully combines high speed on the road with reliable grip on off-road terrain This means it is also suitable for MTBs & Hybrids that are used mainly on-road and occasional light off-road terrain. The use of a tough 'gumwall' sidewall means that the tire will be more resistant to urban debris and the service life of the tire will also be improved. Ideal for commuters needing on/off road performance and reliability. Specs: Weight - 780 grams; Recommended PSI - 50; Maximum PSI - 65; PU - 10.

commuter tire genius
By Kenneth D. Cockes
I travel 22 miles a day commuting and bought this tire for my MTB, works great, fast tire ( my top speed 40.5 mph). I wish it was made in Germany still, but you can't have it all?
Update 9/5/2011: After 1500 miles I had to replace the rear tire after a puncture, overall pretty satisfied. The front is still like new, decided to try the Schwalbe Kojak 2.0 but after spending $55.00 on it I restocked a 3rd Double Fighter(I always keep one new tyre in reserve). I thought the slick would be much faster but it wasn't; I didn't really realize a speed change to be honest and when you look at 2x DFII to 1 Kojak price wise, the choice is clear. Conti DF II rules for commuters...
In other news..... my new top speed is 42.8 mph !!

GREAT TIRE!
By Clark W. Nungesser
I got these tires to make road riding a little easier with my Gary Fisher mountain bike. What a difference from those knobby tires! Much easier pedaling, faster coasting, smoother riding and still off road capable. Very satisfied.

Great Tire
By Thainer
I like this tire, I have 1400 mile on them now and they still look new, I think its fast but I'm not sure becasue this is my first semi-slick fast rolling tire and I have nothing to compare it to. Have to slow down on corners and be cautious because of piles of sand and loose gravel on the road. I'd buy again.
