5Good city tires that can handle some light off roading.
By whiterussian
This is the tire that a lot of bikes should be shipped with. There are a lot of people who are not hardcore and don't need the knobbies and if you don't then this tire is an excellent choice. I use my bike mostly in the city and then also go on a couple of chill trails. I don't ride fast on the trails and this provides me enough traction with good rolling resistance. I am not an adrenaline junky, I ride for transportation and these work great for what I do.

5Old Reliable
By Calvin Graning
This is my favorite tire for city riding. I worked as a bicycle messenger for many years and this was all that I would ever use on my fat tire bikes. I miss the coffee coloured side wall, but the all black looks gnarly enough for me. Viva Conti!

1Not what they used to be.
By Greg Young
My first pair of Continental Town & Countrys, made in "Western Germany", lasted 12 years. I replaced them with the same model, but made in Taiwan. They didn't last 2 years, and I had many more flats from sharp objects before the sidewall gave out. I understand now the tires are made in India and are all black (woohoo!) but I'm not willing to take the chance. I don't imagine they improved the quality by moving the manufacture to India.
