Affordable Continental Race King MTB Bicycle Tire (29x2.0, Folding)

Continental Race King MTB Bicycle Tire (29x2.0, Folding)

Product Description

Continental Race King Foldable MTB Tire does it's magic not only with the low, finely-gritted tread bars, but with the large, supple casing and round profile. While this is a tire for big wheels, it doesn’t ride like a big tire, so it doesn't feel slow. It feels responsive. Going up or down a hill, it grips, and the transition to turning is smooth. Lean on the tire for a long-radius turn, and it's still gripping as well as it did while riding a straight line. The Race King 29-Inch tire has a three-ply wrap of 60 thread per inch casing material for a 180tpi casing. The Kevlar bead is foldable. Specs: Weight - 630 grams; Recommended PSI - 50; Maximum PSI - 65; PU - 5.

5Race King Supersonic 2.2
By Brian Fuerbach
Best XC tire ever for dry, hard, conditions without a doubt. These stick like velcro everywhere and super light at 460 grams. The large volume casing rolls over everything easier and with less resistance. Do not attempt to ride these in wet or muddy conditions as they do not shed it once its on. The "Supersonics" are the only tire to get. The regular Race Kings are not the same, in fact, they are much smaller and do not work the same. Get the "Supersonic" version ONLY and you will not be disapointed

5Quiet Traction
By R. Rivera
I was looking for fast tires that provide great traction on the trails and were quiet on the street. These fit the bill really nicely. I've read that they are not as good on wet terrain, but since I don't ride in the rain, I can't verify one way or another.

4Super Light, Super Fast, Not so durable.
By Nolan
I've never ridden a set of tires as fast as these, and I was very surprised at how much traction I had. I ride in the New England area, and I was riding up punchy hills and rarely slipping on the numerous roots and rocks. That being said, due to the rocky New England terrain I blew through the side wall of my rear tire on my third ride out with them... no warranty for that type of issue, so I ate the cost of another tire. Trying a normal Race King on the back instead of the supersonic to see if that holds up a little better.
